You would think by now my weight would have gone down! Ahh! So frustrated. I realized I needed to go on this journey back in 2017 and started working out with a trainer twice a week. She was awesome and she was also a nutritionist so she steered my diet in a way that would be more sustainable for me. Letting me know that if I wanted to eat something I could, I just needed to adjust for it the rest of the day.
I had had MyFitnessPal for years at that point but only started using it regularly again when I started training. It was like, on the weekdays I did well (for the most part). On the weekends I struggled because I had more time on my hands and alcohol in my freezer. Unfortunately this has continued to be my struggle. Even just last night I took the evening off to heal up before I did my leg day today and I felt like that made it ok to have some alcohol.
I think the main problem is that I didn’t do anything for a year and then now that I’m active again, I feel like I should be able to eat what I want because I’m hungry. This is not the case! My metabolism has not caught up with me yet nor do I know that it will.
Somehow I have to get out of this mindset. The question is…. HOW?
