HP Nav System

I was driving along last night and had, what I felt, was a genius idea. Here it is: Harry Potter Navigation System (HP Nav) for your car.

First thing that would happen when you turn on the system initially, you would select your house. Come on, anyone who is interested in a system like this has most definitely already taken the test and been sorted into a house. I’m a Gryffindor. Likely it’s because I wanted to be a Gryffindor but hey, that’s how the Sorting Hat works right?

You can pick who leads you that day but your primary voice will be the Head of Your House. In my case, it would be Professor McGonagall. You could select Snape, Sprout or Flitwick to lead you that day as well. As you’re driving they would say things like, “Muggle ahead” or “Don’t you wish you could have just taken your broom?” If you missed a turn, they would say, “5 POINTS FROM GRYFFINDOR!” or sometimes if you managed to make every correct turn they told you they would say, “10 POINTS TO GRYFFINDOR!” Except Snape. Snape would only take points away because he’s a Slytherin and let’s be honest here, Snape only takes points from Gryffindor. If you were a Slytherin you would be set because all of the houses could potentially award you extra points.

Each person who uses the navigation could set up their own profile and if you have friends with the system, you could compete to win the House Cup. OR, if you joined a network, you could compete with everyone who had a HP Nav. You could set up tournaments and compete for the Triwizard Cup.

There are so many fun ways you could use it! Let’s say you chose Professor Snape as your Nav voice for the day. If you missed a turn he would say, “You missed your turn… obbbviously.” They could introduce guests to lead you such as Hagrid or Mr. Weasley (you would have to pay for those profiles because honestly that’s a lot of work to give it to you for free). Mr. Weasley would constantly be saying, “Look at that Muggle!” or “Why doesn’t your car fly like mine?” or “Explain to me what a Rubber Duckie is for.”

It would be a Nav system with a gamer heart. So cool (I mean, like, nerdy cool. If you’re a Potter-Head like me it’s cool I mean.).

I recognize that Alan Rickman has passed since the Harry Potter Movies came out and that would make it difficult to get the voice over together but with the technology that has been invented, surely someone could figure it out!
